Experience the celebrated gems of Australia. Starting in Sydney we'll spend a couple days touring this exciting city. We then fly onto Ayers Rock where nothing will prepare you for your first view. Onwards to Cairns and visit the renowned Great Barrier Reef, where you can snorkel or dive and see some of the most mesmerizing marine life or corals and tropical fish.

Ayers Rock: Desert Gardens- 4 stars
Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel is a superior 4½ star hotel at Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. Magnificent ghost gums and flowering native shrubs are the setting for this hotel. Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel is centrally located to all resort and touring facilities and offers a range of accommodation, from shaded poolside rooms to deluxe rooms overlooking the desert.
Cairns: Cairns Hotel – 4 star
The Hotel Cairns, with its impeccably private and tropical ambience, is a 4 star resort hotel superbly positioned in the central business district of Cairns, one block from the famous Esplanade. Its architectural profile and exterior facade is one of the most beautiful examples of Queenslander heritage style, and is a popular talking point among many of the hotel’s visitors and guests. The hotel has undergone a complete remodeling and refurbishment to emerge as the classic accommodation of choice in Tropical North Queensland.

Group:
On most of the excursions we will be traveling exclusively together as a Hermes Tour group, however some excursions we will be part of a larger non Hermes exclusive group.
Included:
Please note that the above cost includes all accommodation in 3.5/4 stars, gay friendly hotels, with private bath or shower, hotel taxes, porterage, tips and service charges. All activities as outlined in the itinerary; all meals as per itinerary; the services of a Hermes Tours Escort throughout the trip; a full time local guide with his associated expenses; all ground transportation as per itinerary; Entrance fees to all sites on itinerary.
Not Included:
International airfare to/from Australia; dometic flights (Hermes Tours will book these for you or you may book them with your international flight), airport transfers, visas to Australia if needed; personal travel and cancellation insurance; meals and activities not specifically included in the itinerary; services of a personal nature like alcohol; soft drinks; bottled water; laundry; telephone calls; faxes as well as customary tips to drivers and guides.
Visas:
Canadian and American passport holders are not required to have visas to enter Australlia for tourism purposes. You must have a passport that will be valid for 6 months after your return from Australila.
Shots and Immunizations:
There are no shots that are required for travel to Australia but Hermes Tours does recommend that your tetanus booster be up to date.
Currency and Money Issues:
It is very easy to withdraw money from ATMs located throughout the country as well as to use your Visa or MasterCard. The American Express card is less widely accepted.
Travelers checks are also accepted however can carry a heavy commission fee. We recommend to travelers to bring only a small amount of cash and/or travelers checks and to rather use their ATM and credit cards while traveling.

Making a reservation with a deposit will be considered to be consent to the following conditions:
Hermes Tours reserve the right to accept or decline any person as a member of the tour at any time and to make whatever changes become necessary with or without notice. Guaranteed departure with a minimum of 8 participants.
Hermes Tours is not responsible for airline cancellation or change penalties incurred by individual tour participants for air tickets purchased prior to notification that the tour is a confirmed departure. Travel cancellation insurance would cover these costs should the tour be cancelled.
Hermes Tours does not accept responsibility in whole or in part for any delay, loss, accidents, personal injury, sickness, medical expenses, or property damage occasioned by fault of any person from whatever cause. All participants are required to sign a standard liability form.
